Launnie's beloved Christmas tree is set to shine brightly again! Live music, kids entertainment, and special guest Santa Claus will be making an appearance, all to be found in the Brisbane Street mall.

Please note that there will be road closures in place for this event, active between 5.00pm and 9.00pm

The Lion's Club Christmas parade is back, and this year's theme is A corker of an Aussie themed Christmas!

Carols, live music, big bands and kid's entertainment will be active in the Brisbane St Mall and Quadrant Mall to keep shoppers and little ones alike entertained!

Roving Carollers will also be popping up on George Street and Charles Street sharing festive spirit across the city.

Sunday 21 December | 4pm | City Park

Carols in the Park will return this year offering a joyful evening of carol singing, live performances, and family-friendly entertainment from some of Tasmania's most talented performers. This popular event, held just days before Santa’s arrival, invites the Launnie community to come together and celebrate the season in one of the city's most iconic parks.

This free community event will take place between 6:00pm and 9:00pm and gates open at 4:00pm. Bring a picnic, a blanket and the family to enjoy a magical evening of entertainment featuring local performers, and a very special guest from the North Pole!

We've made some special arrangements with Santa to have a mailbox installed in the Old Brisbane Arcade where you can post a letter to the big jolly man himself, direct to the North Pole!

From 29 November, find Santa's Mailbox in the arcade everyday until 5.00pm.

Letter templates are available at the mailbox, or you can download one to print and fill out ahead of time - or post your own!
