            Turkish Tukka
Turkish flavours, Tasmanian produce
Situated in the eatery district of George Street, Turkish Tukka serves up authentic Turkish cuisine using fresh Tasmanian produce in their beautifully decorated casual dining space.
You’ll likely smell Turkish Tukka before you see it - this restaurant uses a proper charcoal grill, resulting in succulently charred meats and the oh-so mouth-watering smell that’s sure to greet you. If you’re a veggo, worry not - they also have a delicious array of salads on offer, as well as proper hand made falafel. Other menu highlights include gozleme, HSPs, kebabs, baklava, and traditional Turkish tea and coffee.
Turkish Tukka is another Launnie staple that started out as a food van - but there’s more of a backstory than just that. Owner Yusuf Karazor migrated from Olympos, Turkey on the Western Mediterranean coast to Tasmania over a decade ago. Influenced by his mother’s traditional Turkish cooking and a strong love of his Turkish heritage, he has created a modern take on Turkish cuisine with a focus on the honesty of the food and absolute freshness of local Tasmanian produce
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Gorgeously decorated dining space
- Super garlicky garlic sauce
- Traditional Turkish sweets!
