Walkies, anyone?

Take Fido out for a day on the town

Here in Launnie, we love our dogs and other people's dog too – they're kind of like celebrities. Almost anywhere you go, you'll find sparkling water bowls at the ready, leash parking stations, blankets, and pats.

Scroll on for the inside word on the top dog-friendly digs, dog-loving things to do, and spots where your canine companion is more than welcome. G'day to waggin' tails and happy trails!

BEEP BEEP – bring your dog along

If arriving by RV with your four-legged companion, Launnie has some great options for you to see the sights and stay the night together. Head to our Visitor Information Centre in Cameron Street to speak with our local experts.

Top to-dos with your BFF

City cafe strip (Charles Street)

Whether you're having quality coffee at The Pantry, best-ever brekky at Elaia, or a leisurely lunch at Aromas Cafe, most spots along Charles Street offer a refreshing bowl of water for thirsty pups.

Picnic with pooch

Many of Launnie's dog-friendly green spaces include barbecue facilities and spots to lay down a rug and enjoy a snack. Visit our UNESCO City of Gastronomy page for tips on packing a top-notch picnic.

Fun n' games

For more than just walkies, stroll over to Coronation Park in South Launceston. Down by the soccer pitch is a gated spot to socialise and test pup's skills through tunnels and over mini mountains.

A chance to run wild

Let them run free and socialise at one of Launnie's off-leash dog parks. Choose from water views, leafy scenery, heritage parks, and pristine surrounds. Walkies never looked so good.
