Launnie Heights Cafe
Tasty all-day breakfast, Indian fusion, and sweet treats along the Tamar River
Located within the Tamar Yacht Club, Launnie Heights serves filling all-day breakfast and brunch alongside stunning views. The restaurant interior has big visual impact, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. If you aren't craving a big brekky, they also offer a variety of drinks and baked goods made in house (including their award-winning Tassie Laddu Slice). Stay inside, or enjoy the sights and sounds of the Tamar River from their shaded outdoor dining area. While many cafes close early, Launnie Heights serves coffee all day. While they don't offer regular dinner service, they book private functions during the evenings (contact them directly for event booking inquiries).
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Come for the tasty food and stay for the sunning views of the Tamar.
- Vibe inside or enjoy your meal al fresco.
- Craving a late arvo pick me up? They serve coffee all day.
Note: Launnie Heights was previously located on George Street. As of December 2025, they are now in their new, larger location on Park Street near Royal Park.
