DuCane Brewery and Dining Hall

For all conditions

Named Australia's New Brewery of the Year in 2023, Du Cane Brewing is place for locals, families, bushwalkers, and outdoor adventurers to gather and celebrate the character and culture of Tasmania’s outdoors tradition.

After an ill-fated beer break at the culmination of a 2-day Cradle Mountain hike, the assistant brewer of Morrison Brewery was inspired to start his own brand with a love of nature at its heart. This eventually evolved into Du Cane Brewing, which produces a range of beers inspired by the Tasmanian wilderness.

Our beers are inspired by our time walking the Du Cane Range. This is remote country, with winding tracks that lead to rocky peaks. As guides, it’s where we go to find solace, to be awed by wilderness, to explore slowly, to dream up our beers - beers best enjoyed in good nature, with friends.
– Du Cane Brewery website

This venue hosts all kinds of events, has some of the best pizzas in town, and boasts a mural map of walking tracks in Tasmania. There’s even a rock wall for the kids!

WHY WE LOVE IT:

  1. Family-friendly dining space.
  2. Staff are highly knowledgeable about beers and bushwalking.
  3. Perfect stop if you’re here to bushwalk.
