1808 Lounge Bar
Rum bar and cocktail lounge
There's a new bar on the Launceston scene creating a stir – one entirely dedicated to its owner's love of rum.
Aptly named 1808 for the notorious Rum Rebellion of NSW, the bar offers over 50 rums from its inventory, including all available Tasmanian rums.
The bar blends luxe and subtle speakeasy design, and with numerous booths and welcoming bar seating, 1808 Lounge Bar is the perfect place to gather with your friends.
Overlooking Prince's Square Park which, for the better part of the year, blooms magnificently, you can enjoy delicious 'nosh' from a tapas menu that prefers to offer you something you're unlikely to nibble on anywhere else in the city.
WHY WE LOVE IT
1. Cosy lounge seating
2. Exciting cocktail menu
3. Knowledgeable bar staff
Location: 186-188 Charles Street, Launceston
