Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk
Northern Tasmania's home of art, history, and natural science
The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) is located across two sites; the Museum at Inveresk is set within 1870s-era industrial railway workshops. The Museum at Inveresk is home to natural sciences displays, transport and railway memorabilia, blacksmith workshops, and the iconic Launceston Planetarium. See dinosaurs, trains, animal species (including the Tasmanian thylacine), artefacts from Australia's oldest merchant shipwreck, Sydney Cove. The Museum also showcases local and touring exhibitions.
