Albert Hall
City Park venue with big visual impact
Launceston's historic Albert Hall is the city's premiere community events facility, complete with meeting rooms, contemporary AV equipment, and stunning views of City Park. In 2025, the City of Launceston completed a $20m redevelopment of the hall, including the construction of a new Eastern Wing, and improvements to the Great Hall. The Great Hall, Tamar Valley and John Duncan rooms are hired for a wide array of events, from school balls and university graduations to antiques fairs, concerts and major conferences.
WHY WE LOVE IT
1. The stunning architecture inside and out makes for a memorable experience at every visit.
2. While their current home at Princess Theatre is under renovation, Theatre North productions can be enjoyed at Albert Hall for the foreseeable future.
3. A jewel among many historic landmarks that can be viewed in City Park.
Location: 47 Tamar Street, Launceston
