The Metz

An urban oasis

The Metz is a restaurant committed to using high quality, local and seasonal produce to create beautiful, modern and flavourful food right here in the heart of Launceston. Locals Kendra & David Lewis purchased The Metz in 2016 after a 10 year 'visit' to foodie-heaven Adelaide. Passionate about exceptional hospitality and lovers of great food and beverages, they are thrilled to bring Launnie a revitalised version of The Metz.

The Metz menu features modern Australian dishes with international flair, and a beverage list with the best that Tasmania has to offer; including an extensive list of local gins, whiskies and wines. Their relaxed contemporary style of dining lends itself to a wide range of occasions - take a stool at the bar for a well deserved after work drink, get cosy and intimate with friends for a long chat and wine in the lounge area, let your family relax in the comfortable booths or take a seat at a round table for a luxurious evening of cocktails and gorgeous food.

WHY WE LOVE IT:

  1. Fantastic cocktails

  2. Delicious & creative menu

  3. Beautiful, sunny dining area
