Stelo
Local produce through an Italian lens
Stelo spreads across two grand dining rooms, a bar and a private dining space; furnished lovingly with locally crafted leather bench seats, large Tasmanian Oak and leather chairs, and crisp linen - resulting in a restaurant that feels warm, luxurious and intimate.
First established in 1956, Pierre’s Cafe and Brasserie welcomed Australia’s first commercial espresso machine. Lauren and Nathan, the couple behind Stelo, create a four-course tasting menu each week. These curated dishes inspired by local produce are limited by season and quantity, and are matched by Tasmanian and Italian style wines chosen from Stelo’s bespoke and eclectic wine list.
Signature dishes to look out for on the menus are handmade pasta and gnocchi, burrata, sourdough focaccia and tiramisu.
