Knits Needles and Wool

Knits Needles and Wool has been operating in Launceston for more than 10 years

Stitch up a storm in the city!

Since 1984, Knits, Needles and Wool have been the number one yarn and haberdashery specialists in Launceston. Located on Charles Street, they stock a huge range of yarns including superfine merino, silk, mohair, alpaca, cotton and even bamboo. They are the only store in Launceston to stock the amazing White Gum Wool, an ethical superfine merino, farmed right here in Tasmania (straight from Tasmanian sheep).

There is a range of needles including liteflex, wood, circular and crochet hooks for all of your crafting needs; while there is a huge choice of patterns for women, men and kids. New to crafting? At Knits, Needles and Wool, you can take part in their knitting or crochet classes, including ones for beginners through to more advanced classes focusing on harder techniques and garments. They also offer repair services for your favourite knitted items.

WHY WE LOVE IT

  1. Their range of wool for babies are so soft and snuggly; not to mention completely adorable!
  2. The classes are so much fun – you will be able to learn a lifelong skill in no time.
  3. You can buy their yarns online and will receive free shipping on all orders over $125!
