Hello to all of our wonderful businesses,

March is shaping up to be a huge month in the city, with Super Sale Saturday just around the corner and plenty more in the works! From celebrating our long-standing businesses to gearing up for winter activations, there’s lots to look forward to.

Super Sale Saturday – Final countdown!

The city’s biggest retail event of the year is fast approaching on Saturday 23 March. We’ve been working closely with businesses to make this year’s event more than just discounts — encouraging in-store activations, competitions, and experiences that will bring people into shops and keep them engaged.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening in stores on March 23:

  • Aviva Parfumerie & Balls & Bumpers are giving away goodie bags with purchases.
  • Paint the Town Red are hosting a hands-on pottery wheel demo out the front of their store.
  • Watch Eleonora Pulcini bring her art to life with a live painting session in Quadrant Mall.
  • The Shop to Win competition is back, driving spending in the CBD with a $1,000 shopping spree up for grabs.
  • We have created a Golden Ticket giveaway and Aspire Adventure Equipment is getting on board with a $50 gift voucher to be won by a lucky shopper in-store.

Alongside these in-store activations, the city will be alive with free entertainment throughout the day! We’ve teamed up with the Ukulele Jamboree and St Joes Big Band to bring big sounds to the city, plus face painting, roving entertainers, a charity sausage sizzle, on-street trading and, of course, HUGE sales from our retailers.

We’re still looking for more businesses to get involved! If you’d like to host an activation, be a part of our Golden Ticket promotion, or get creative for the day, reach out to Megan at [email protected] or call us on 6334 3321.

TAGS OFF_ is back for the autumn/winter fashions

This much-loved event is now in it's fourth iteration, with it's March edition bringing together six local retailers to showcase their new season collections. We partner with Sue Rees Modelling Deportment on this event to celebrate our hardworking retail businesses, enjoy a fun night out, and support local fashion. It will be held in it's usual home at Du Cane Brewery on Wednesday 19 March and you will find the ticket link in our newsletter or on our website.

We encourage all retailers to spread the word to customers and help make this event a huge success. If you would like to have any flyers or posters delivered to your store to help us promote the event, let us know!

What's next?

With Super Sale Saturday just around the corner, we’re already gearing up for the next big initiatives in the city!

We’ll be launching our Launnie Longstanders campaign, celebrating businesses that have been part of our CBD for over 10 years. This campaign will roll out across both digital and traditional media, and we’re also planning a special event to honour these long-standing businesses, hear their stories, and highlight how they’ve evolved with the city over time.

As winter approaches, we’ll also be ramping up efforts on our winter activations and storytelling. We know that winter is always our busiest time of year in our team, working hard to bring people out into the city in the cooler months. The Lounge will be returning and we’ll soon be seeking community and business involvement in this initiative, and after the fantastic in-kind support from local businesses last year, we’re keen to explore even more ways to bring new energy into the city throughout the cooler months. If you have ideas or would like to be involved, we’d love to chat!
