Wendy’s
Sweet treats
In 1979, Geoff Davis and Phil Rogers opened the doors to their first business in a South Australian shopping centre. Word soon spread about the tiny store selling delicious ice cream sundaes and treats and, by lunchtime on the opening day, the centre's main power had blown as the store’s machinery struggled to keep up with customer demand.
This extraordinary beginning was the start of a brand that has developed into one of the most recognised and well-loved brands in Australia today - Wendy's Milk Bar.
With more than three decades of franchising experience, the company has come a long way since those humble beginnings. Wendy's Milk Bar has grown from a single store operation to more than 120 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
Here in Launceston, you can find Wendy’s on the corner of Brisbane and St John streets.
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- A great spot to grab a yummy icecream on a warm summers days when walking through the city.
- They have a great range of icecream cakes available for order.
- Perfect place to grab a quick an affordable hotdog on the go.
