Quixotic Books
Launceston’s eclectic and wonderful book store
Ever wanted to take a trip to Diagon Alley or Belle’s Library? We can get you pretty close with this hidden gem - Quixotic Books.
Previously located in an upper level above the Brisbane Street Avenue, Quixotic can now be found on George Street, sitting at ground level between Paddy Pallin and Samuel Pepy's. Inside you'll find walls lined with curios, canes and collectibles; a full suit of armour, sumptuous couches surrounded by stacks of books, unfinished puzzles to challenge you in between browsing, and amongst it all is the proprietor himself - Toby Wools-Cobb.
Toby has a background in archaeology and librarianship, and specialises in rare and hard to find books. If there’s something you haven’t been able to track down, chances are Toby will be able to find it.
