Quixotic Books
Launceston’s weird & wonderful book store
Ever wanted to take a trip to Diagon Alley or Belle’s Library? We can get you pretty close with this hidden gem - Quixotic Books.
Quixotic can be found behind an easily-missed door between Wendy’s and EB Games, up a narrow winding staircase* that perfectly sets the mood for the wares ahead. Walls lined with curios, canes and collectibles; a full suit of armour, sumptuous couches surrounded by stacks of books, a small fireplace to enjoy in the winter as you read; and amongst it all is the proprietor himself - Toby Wools-Cobb.
Toby has a background in archaeology and librarianship, and specialises in weird and hard to find books. If there’s something you haven’t been able to track down, then chances are Toby will be able to find it.
*Lift available, wheelchair accessible.
