Petrarch’s Bookshop

Petrarch’s Bookshop has been operating in Launceston for more than 10 years

Launceston’s own bookshop since 1985

Whoever said bookshops are dying have obviously never shopped at Petrarch’s Bookshop. One of the busiest retailers in Launnie, Petrarchs stocks a huge range of great new release titles, books by Tasmanian authors and a giant collection of books for children of all ages. If they don’t have what you are looking for in store, the helpful staff will order it in for you.

The staff are also avid readers who are always willing to chat all things books and give recommendations about what you should read next.

They regularly organise author visits for that chance to hear from your favourite writers in person. Why not grab a signed copy of your favourite book, there are plenty to get your hands on at Petrarchs!

Located on Brisbane Street and open 7 days a week including many public holidays, Petrarchs is the perfect place to get lost in a book!

WHY WE LOVE IT

  1. The range is huge, there is something for everyone.
  2. It’s a family-owned business that has been open for over 38 years!
  3. Their customer service is second to none – what their staff doesn’t know about books probably isn’t worth knowing!
