Hope Thrift Cafe
Education through food
Hope Cafe is an initiative of Teen Challenge that aims to get local young people work ready for hospitality. Their program focuses on building skills and confidence through work, so that participants leave with real experience to put on their resumes and the knowledge that they can handle a busy shift in hospitality, making finding their first job far less daunting.
As well as coffee, Hope Cafe serves up a range of meal options and sweets. In their own words - “It’s a great space to catch up with friends or just relax in the CBD with some scrumptious sweet and savoury options from local Valley Bakehouse and homemade sandwiches. Take time to try out the Italian and French sodas, good old fashioned spiders and milkshakes with over 30 flavours to choose from - all with a cherry on top!”
