Vast and Varied
From works unearthed over two thousand years ago to examples of the most important contemporary ceramic pieces, Vast and Varied is a celebration of the diverse range of ceramics in the QVMAG Collection.
The QVMAG ceramics and pottery collection represents a huge, curious and eclectic commitment to both studio and production pottery, over the institution's 130-year history.
Vast and Varied tells a unique story, not only of the great influential potters of Europe and Asia, but of the impact of local pottery practice. Launceston and northern Tasmania are home to a rich tradition of ceramics that is very much alive and well.
