What is Wudang Taijiquan practice?

By relaxed, circular movements that work in concert with breath regulation and the cultivation of a righteous, calm and neutral mind. Taijiquan was developed during the mid-seventeenth century in Wenxian County in the Henan Province of central China and is still heavily practiced throughout the country by people of all ages and by different ethnic groups.

Taijiquan’s basic movements are centered on Wubu (five steps) and Bafa (eight techniques) which are practiced through a series of routines, exercises and Tuishou (hand-pushing performed with a partner). Original influenced by Daoist and Confucian ideas and theories of traditional Chinese medicine, Taijiquan developed into several systems (or styles) named after a clan or a master’s personal name such as Yang, Chen, Sun and Wu.

What is Qigong and meditation practice?

Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy (CMQT) is an ancient form of energetic medicine originating from China. It is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and medical massage. The main focus of CMQT is in balancing the Bio-electromagnetic energy (Qi) and restoring harmony in Yin-Yang.

According to TCM thought, disruptions in this bio-electromagnetic energy commonly occur throughout our lifetime as a result of poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, physical injuries, suppressed emotions, and aging. The goal of CMQT is to correct these bio-energetic imbalances and blockages. This enables the body to strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous system and the immune system, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and strengthen and release deep-seated emotions and stress.
