Singers’ Lounge – Launceston
Gather and connect - a Festival favourite comes to Launceston!
For the first time, the Festival's celebrated Singers' Lounge is travelling around Tasmania, bringing this much-loved event to Launceston. This exciting expansion offers more participants the opportunity to experience the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the Singers' Lounge closer to home, with space to share performance, enjoy scheduled entertainment, connect with fellow singers, and take part in singalongs and open-mic-style opportunities.
The evening will be hosted by Festival friend Paul Jarman, whose warmth, humour, encouragement, exceptional musicality and a gift for storytelling make him the perfect host and MC, bringing people together over their shared love of music.
A range of performance equipment and support will be available to assist performances by choirs and individuals. All members of registered participating choirs are welcome to attend (subject to capacity).
Supporters, audience members and those wishing to join in are warmly invited to attend for a small entry fee, tickets available online and at the door.
I'm so excited to spend time with singers in regional Tasmania — sharing stories, making music together, and celebrating the wonderful choral communities that thrive there.
– Paul Jarman
