The City of Launceston's Lighting of the Tree is an annual event held in the heart of Launceston to bring in the beginning of the festive season. With face-painting, live music and entertainment, and a visitor from the North Pole, this is an event not to be missed! From 6pm, the Brisbane Street Mall will be buzzing with Christmas cheer, offering entertainment for all ages, families and friends - followed by the lighting of the grand Christmas tree at approximately 8.45pm.
