Launceston Gem and Mineral Show
The Launceston Gem and Mineral Show is an annual two day event, this year on the 18th & 19th November 2023 - Elphin Sports Centre Launceston.
With close to 100 trade tables with local, national & international stallholders trading over the weekend.
Tasmania has on offer some of the best examples of rock and mineral specimens that are much sort after both here and around the world -Examples being Crocoite and Stichtite in Serpentine from Dundas on the West Coast of Tasmania. These are prime examples with mine owners trading at the show.
Hosted by the Lapidary Club of Northern Tasmania Inc, the Launceston Gem & Mineral Show 2022 saw around 3000 people attending the event with positive feedback with standout comments "the best Gem and Mineral Show we've been to" & 'there's something for everyone"
Focusing on rocks, minerals, fossils & crystals from museum pieces right through to the novice collector, the show is also family friendly with activities aimed at children including a working Sluice - University of Tasmania interactive site & other educational activities.
