Unwind: Jest for Zest
Presented by The Dill Pickle Club
DILL PICKLE CLUB presents The Hannibal Lectures #12
This month our talk will be part of Launceston Central's Unwind winter wellness festival, and it's going to be a good laugh.
In Jest for Zest: How Humour Helps Your Health, Happiness and Vitality, the "grandfather of Tasmanian comedy" Dr Daryl Peebles will explore the physiological and psychological benefits of laughter.
Daryl is a comedian, writer, performer and academic who has spent years researching the value of humour in workplaces – specifically how laughter influences well-being, productivity and organisational culture.
His academic and performance work often intersects around humour, ageing and mental health, and he frequently takes part in events exploring the science of laughter.
Limited seats – bookings essential. Please arrive for the talk by 7pm.
