Footloose | Launceston Church Grammar School | Albert Hall
"Cut loose, kick off your Sunday shoes, and dance!"
Footloose follows Ren McCormack, a teenage city boy from Chicago who moves to the small, conservative town of Bomont, where he is shocked to discover that rock-and-roll music and dancing have been outlawed by the local council and Reverend Shaw Moore, following a tragic accident years earlier.
Struggling to fit in, Ren becomes a rebellious outsider who, with the help of the Reverend's defiant daughter, Ariel, and his new best friend, Willard, decides to challenge the strict local rules.
Through high-energy dance numbers and popular '80s anthems, Ren fights to win over the community, ultimately helping the town to heal from their past, overturn the ban, and allow the teenagers to host a senior prom
