ArtStart: Curated by the Artists
QVMAG’s ArtStart exhibition returns to the Art Gallery at Royal Park, showcasing the creativity and talent of primary school students from across northern Tasmania. Open to students from kindergarten to Grade 6, each iteration of ArtStart features a different theme to inspire artistic young minds.
The latest ArtStart invites students to become the curators of their own art show and choose a selection of works that tell the stories of their class or school.
Students may select works in any medium — including drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, and more — giving thought to why each piece is chosen.
A long-standing program by QVMAG, ArtStart is designed to encourage children's participation in the visual arts and is made possible by the Terry and Nan Woodward ArtStart legacy.
